Implants

Implants are the most modern method for the replacement of one or more missing teeth. Their greatest advantage is that they mimic the natural root of the tooth and as a result offer a totally natural feel, stability and restore oral function.
Implants are synthetic roots in the shape of the tooth’s natural root. They are placed on the jaw bone with a minor surgical procedure, they are embedded in the bone within a time
period of a few months and a dental crown is fitted on top of them, which replaces the crown of the missing tooth. Modern implants are made of titanium, which is a biocompatible
material. This way, the risk of inflammation or implant rejection is minimized. With the modern techniques and materials, the implant placement success rate exceeds 95%.

Implants can also hold or support more extensive prosthetic restorations, such as bridges and dentures. With only a few implants we can provide support to an implant-supported denture with much better results as opposed to conventional dentures.

The main requirement for the placement of an implant is that there is enough jaw bone and that it is sufficiently hard. Otherwise, we will not have a stable base in order for the implant to be smoothly embedded.
